Camping under the italian sun
Tenuta Squaneto is still characterized as a predominantly sunny campsite. During the creation of our campsite from 2005 to 2009, hedgerows and a wide variety of young trees were planted on the grassy fields along the Valla stream. By now, a good number of trees provide lovely spots to relax under for part of the day. Some pitches are also located near the forest edge, offering more shade. These are primarily our Comfort and Comfort Plus pitches. The later-developed Basic (including L and XL) pitches remain mostly sunny due to the younger plantings.
It may be good to know that while it can be sunny and warm during the day, it often cools down nicely at the end of the day. Generally, there’s also a light breeze, making it never uncomfortably hot. The higher-lying areas have a more open character, offering 360-degree views of the surrounding hills, where the continuous sea breeze can sometimes turn into a refreshing wind. Experience shows that our guests often create their own shade during the day with canopies or tarps. The caravan or tent is often just a place to sleep, and by the time it's used, it has cooled down nicely for a good night's rest. For families with small children, as well as for other campers who prefer it, we have a special car-free field.
Here are our camping options....
Basic
pitches
All our Basic pitches are equipped with a 10-amp CEE power connection (blue plug). Spacious size of 100 m², and a water tap is always nearby.
Basic L
pitches
With the same facilities as the Basic pitches, but much more spacious (130 m²) and separated by young/low vegetation. Our Basic L pitches are located on the upper terrain and are only available during the high season.
Basic XL
pitches
With the same facilities as the Basic pitches, our Basic XL pitches offer even more space and privacy, with an area of no less than 200 m²! Four Basic XL pitches are located on our lower terrain at the outer edge of the campsite. Another six Basic XL pitches are situated at the edge of our higher terrain and are only available during the high season.
The Comfort pitches, all around 100 m², are equipped with a 16-amp CEE connection, and with a water tap on the pitch, you always have water within reach. The Comfort pitches are also equipped with a drain for wastewater. On the car-free field, you can park your car in an adjacent parking strip.
If you prefer even more comfort, then a Comfort Plus pitch is perfect for you (minimum stay of 3 nights / high season minimum stay of 7 nights).
In addition to the previously mentioned amenities, these pitches also feature private sanitary facilities with a shower, toilet, and sink, as well as your own outdoor kitchen, including a fridge with a freezer compartment.
